Add Google Apps to any Google Online program such as Docs, Sheets, etc. Apps such as Mind Meister and Lucid provide ways in which to create visualizations. ProQuest RefWorks manages citations. Many Apps are free and can be easily installed. Others require purchasing. Some have a limited free option. Below are generic instructions for Add-ons.
In the Google program such as Docs, Sheets, ect. (not Google Drive), in the tool bar at the top of the document, click on Get Add-ons. (The same choice is offered at the top of Google Sheets as well.)
Search for the tool, i.e. Lucid Chart Diagrams,
and click INSTALL.
The App requests access to parts of your Google account that are necessary to run the application.
Once the App is installed, it is available on any Google Doc you open. The option remains in the tool bar under Add-ons.
